Welcome to Gateway BMW Motorcycles in St. Louis MO

After months of waiting Gateway BMW officially opened for business on July 31 2007.

Dave Hunter, a BMW rider since 1976, owns the the shop. After the previous BMW motorcycle dealer closed, Dave felt that the Midwest needed a certified BMW shop to handle maintenance and warranty work for BMW motorcycle owners in the St. Louis area.

With over thirty years of business experience managing retirement accounts and finances Dave realized that opening a new shop would be a good investment. He contacted Bob Honz, former sales manager of BMW Motorrad, who at the time was looking to fund his long time dream to open up a BMW motorcycle dealership. Dave and Honz teamed up, met with BMW North America and opened the new shop. Honz will serve as the general manager, while Hunter provides the funding. Dave plans to make himself available to customers and staff almost every Saturday.

The new BMW Motorcycle dealership is being built from from scratch, and and both Dave and Honz are proud of their accomplishments. They’ve put together a staff that share their passion for motorcycles and more importantly who are also riders. They've taken motorcyclists with diverse skill sets from other fields to come and work at the dealership. The entire staff shares a passion for riding and are all committed to the success of the dealership. The staff’s unique talents and abilities will help us provide you with excellent customer service.

Most of our customers are not beginners, they are passionate and bright riders who expect a high level of service and product knowledge. We want to connect with all the loyal BMW riders and extend an invitation to the new folks as well. Whether they are riders of other brands or new to riding, to come on over to the shop and kick some tires. Maybe take a BMW motorcycle out for a test ride. Or just hang out for a while and see what the BMW motorcycle community is all about. For the travelers, wireless Internet is available in the building, and efforts have been made to make it a meeting place for riders. We even have a stack of old and new M/C related video's and a big TV for you to watch while you hang out or are waiting for your bike as it's being serviced.

We're adding new lines of accessories weekly, items that riders would want to see in a shop. We’re always looking for suggestions and comments on how to make Gateway BMW Motorcycles the best dealer for our customers. Give one of us a call or fill out the comments section below.
